Does using a referral code cost me anything?
No. The code is free and applies at checkout. It gives eligible buyers a 3-month free FSD (Supervised) trial; the code’s owner may earn Tesla Credits.
When does the free FSD (Supervised) trial activate?
After delivery, automatically — no coupon or paperwork. You must have opened the referral link (or entered the code) before completing your order.
Which models qualify in Canada?
Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck. Model S and Model X were removed from the referral program in March 2026 and get no buyer benefit.
Is there a Tesla solar referral in Canada?
No. Tesla does not sell solar panels or Solar Roof to consumers in Canada (only Powerwall), so the U.S.-style solar referral simply does not exist here.
How much does the referrer earn in Canada?
Up to C$325 in Tesla Credits per qualifying vehicle referral, rising to C$650 if the buyer adds FSD (Supervised). Benefits are capped per year — re-verify the current cap.
Do referrer rewards work in BC or Québec?
BC residents get no referrer benefit at all. In Québec, the buyer still gets the FSD trial, but the C$20 FSD demo-drive credit is not available.
Can I add a code after I’ve ordered?
Generally no. Tesla recognizes the referral at order time; if you start without one, it usually can’t be added later. Buyer benefits apply to your first qualifying Tesla only.
Code vs link — what’s the difference?
A referral link (ts.la/<code>) is just the owner’s code wrapped in a URL. Opening it pre-applies the code. Both routes lead to the same benefit.
