Québec's Roulez Vert: $2,000 Now, and Gone After 31 December 2026
A rate cut you can absorb and a closing date you cannot. Plus a $4,000 figure we are deliberately not repeating as fact.

Québec's Roulez vert rebate has a closing date now, and it is close enough to matter: the programme ends on 31 December 2026. It also pays less than it used to — it was cut from $4,000 to $2,000 on 1 January 2026. Two changes in one year, both in the same direction.
Why a deadline is different from a rate cut
A rate cut changes how much you get. A deadline changes whether you get anything. Québec has done both, and the second one is the one worth planning around, because a rebate that ends on a date is a rebate you can miss by ordering late. Delivery timing, not order timing, is usually what decides these things — and delivery timing is the part you control least.
Where a Tesla currently lands
The 2026 Model 3 Premium RWD qualifies for the $2,000, which takes its effective price to roughly $37,490. That is the cleanest, best-sourced Tesla-specific figure we have for Québec right now.
A conflict we are not going to resolve for you
A separate report states that Québec buyers can claim $4,000 on the 2026 Model Y built at Giga Berlin. That cannot sit comfortably beside a flat $2,000 provincial rate, and we have not found a source that reconciles the two. It could be a pre-cut figure that has been left standing, or a distinction we cannot see from the outside.
What we are not going to do is print the larger number because it is nicer. If you are buying a Model Y in Québec, treat $2,000 as the figure to plan with and check the Roulez vert page for your own vehicle and date before you count on more. Being pleasantly surprised is a much better outcome than budgeting for $4,000 and receiving half.
The federal layer, for completeness
Federally, iZEV is closed. It was replaced by EVAP on 16 February 2026 at $5,000 for a battery-electric vehicle, and EVAP itself tapers: $4,000 in 2027, $3,000 in 2028–29, $2,000 in 2030. So the direction of travel on both the provincial and federal side is downward, on a published schedule.
What none of it does to a referral code
Nothing. A referral benefit is a manufacturer programme; Roulez vert and EVAP are government programmes. They sit on separate shelves and neither reduces the other. A referral code does not lower the purchase price, so it does not push a vehicle over or under a rebate's price cap — which is precisely why it stacks cleanly where a cash discount might not. British Columbia still pays no referrer reward, unchanged.
