The February 2026 Terms, Read Against Canadian Orders
A revision date is the most useful filter available for referral information. Here is the current rulebook, clause by clause, from Canada.

The current Refer and Earn terms carry a revision date of 24 February 2026. Read from a Canadian order, a specific set of clauses does the work — and one widely repeated clause does not apply here at all.
The attachment clause
A referral attaches when the order is placed, through the link, and cannot be added afterwards — not by the buyer, not by support, not by the code's owner. Everything practical follows from this sentence.
The benefit clause, read from Canada
Three months of FSD (Supervised) on Model 3, Model Y or eligible Cybertruck. Mainland Europe's Supercharging distance and the UK's smaller mileage figure are other markets' answers; a page quoting kilometres to a Canadian buyer has copied the wrong market.
The eligibility clause
Model S and Model X left the programme in March 2026, weeks after this revision, and Cybertruck eligibility is trim-specific. The practical Canadian list is Model 3, Model Y and two Cybertruck trims.
The expiry clauses
Tesla Credits expire twelve months from the Grant Date; charging distance, where it applies, expires in six. A 30-day warning email precedes expiry and an expired balance cannot be reissued. The Grant Date is when the reward is posted, not when the order was placed.
The referrer clauses, and the provincial exceptions
Credits, capped at the first ten successful referrals per calendar year. Canada carries two documented provincial differences: in British Columbia the referrer earns no reward, and in Québec the demo-drive credit is not offered. Both are sharing-side facts and neither affects a buyer's trial.
The number this desk will not print
The credit amount. Public reporting says $250 in some places and $500 in others; both cannot be current, and averaging two contested figures produces a third describing no account. The authoritative amount is the balance in the referrer's own app.
What survived the revision unchanged
The four sentences worth memorising: the benefit attaches at the order and cannot be added afterwards; one referral applies per transaction, with vehicle and energy orders counted separately; the referrer is capped at ten successful referrals per calendar year; and every clock starts at the Grant Date. None of those moved in February, none moved in March, and none is market-specific — which makes them the most durable thing any referral page can teach a reader.
How to date-check any referral page in ten seconds
Does it list Model S or X as earning a benefit? Predates March 2026. Does it quote a reward in kilometres to a Canadian reader? Wrong market. Does it promise a rebate stack that ignores the transaction-value basis of EVAP? Not checked. Does it carry a date attached to the claim rather than a copyright year? If not, it cannot be placed at all.
